PUBLIC SAFETY

I support:

  • Improving our emergency response times
  • Ensuring our Public Safety responders are properly staffed and have the equipment and training to serve our community.
  • Fostering trusted and lasting relationships between the police department and our community
  • Transparency and accountability within law enforcement to build bridges in the community.
  • Returning our community to a time where our stores didn't have to lock up items to prevent flagrant theft of property.
  • Allowing Public Safety responders to utilize the equipment they have in support of our community. The choice to loan Pleasanton's rescue vehicle to Livermore instead of using it in Pleasanton for National Night Out could have various implications for community engagement and visibility. The council's decision has sparked some interesting discussions! What are your thoughts on that decision?

My commitment to effective public safety measures is evident in my history of support for community policing initiatives. By emphasizing collaboration between law enforcement and residents, I recognize the importance of building trust and understanding within communities. This approach not only addresses local concerns more effectively but also fosters a sense of ownership and responsibility among residents for the safety of our neighborhoods.

In advocating for enhanced emergency response services, I promote a proactive approach to addressing potential crises and ensuring swift and effective assistance when needed. By improving neighborhood safety and addressing traffic concerns, I aim to create environments where residents feel secure and can move about freely without fear.

Furthermore, I will focus on fostering positive relationships between the police department and the community underscoring the importance of communication and mutual respect in maintaining law and order. By promoting transparency and accountability within government, I seek to build bridges and promote cooperation between Public Safety responders and the communities they serve.

Overall, my comprehensive approach to public safety reflects a dedication to creating safer, more vibrant communities where all residents can thrive.

On a side note, I am in favor of the recall of Alameda District Attorney Pamela Price.  Her soft on crime policies have made Alameda County less safe and sends the wrong message to criminals.  We need a District Attorney who wholly supports victims of crime and takes that into consideration when making prosecutorial decisions.
